It was a dinner that guests at one company's awards event aren't likely to forget. Not only did their waiters serve them excellent dishes in elegant surroundings, but they sang arias for them!
This Fortune 500 company's Awards Dinner took place at the
Hotel Sofitel in Chicago this past spring. Creative Impact Group
provided entertainers from New York with a twist:The Three Waiters. The group, consisting of three tenors, a Frenchman, an Italian, and an American, acted as waiters during dinner–– but then, supposedly dared by guests to sing, they burst into song. Before long, they joined together on stage and confessed that they are actually professional tenors and they gave a 45-minute performance. The “waiters-turned-tenors”, who had just been bantering with guests and serving them their meals, were a big hit with the audience. In fact, when our client met The Three Waiters, they were so impressed, they asked for a photographer to film the event.Within an hour, we found the ideal digital photographer to do the job.
Creative Impact Group also provided a harpist for the cocktail reception before dinner. The sophisticated decor included yellow roses and sage-green eucalyptus in glass cube vases, highlighted by ambient candlelight, and jewel tone purple table linen.
INMA 2006 World Congress
@ Drake Hotel, Chicago
The International Newspaper Marketing Association held its 2006 World Congress at the Drake Hotel in Chicago,April 4-7.The marketing group's members come from 70 countries around the world. So it's no small task to set up a trade show for them.Creative Impact Group combined services with its associate, Midwest Conference Service to make sure INMA had the right setting for
its annual event.
To honor the internationality of the event, Midwest Conference Service transformed an ornate ballroom with flags from the member nations.
They exhibited submissions for INMA awards on 120 feet of drapes, which made it convenient for the guests to see the many submissions in one place. They also provided the trade show management, exhibitor kits, on-site support, A/V, Multimedia, signage/graphics, on-site support and other assistance.
The four-day meeting included various receptions and a major event— the launch of INMA's magazine, for which Creative Impact Group provided four hostesses and two hosts. We also arranged for entertainment by a Jazz Trio and designed centerpieces for the final night's reception and awards presentation.
